The Rocky Mountain Section of the American Water Works Association and the Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association are proud to partner with the University of Denver to deliver the Rocky Mountain Advanced Leadership Academy.
This three-day program develops the advanced knowledge, tools, and skills today’s leaders need to effectively lead teams and drive impact. The curriculum blends academic research with practical application to deliver a robust experience for professionals from diverse industries. Whether you’re looking to build upon previous leadership training or deepen your expertise through a new lens, the Rocky Mountain Advanced Leadership Academy will challenge and empower you to reach new heights in your leadership journey.
Graduates of the Rocky Mountain Leadership Academy (RMLA) are strongly encouraged to attend, as the program is designed to build on concepts introduced in the introductory program. While prior RMLA participation is preferred, the program is also open to professionals who are eager to strengthen and expand their advanced leadership skills.
The training will be approved for operator credits in Colorado (2.25 TUs), Wyoming and New Mexico. Attendees of this class will receive 22.5 hours of training credits.

- The Early Bird program cost is $2,400 for RMSAWWA/RMWEA members or $3,100 for nonmembers
- After the Early Bird period, the rates will increase by $200.
- Program cost includes curriculum, program materials and lunch each day of the program.

Pieter Van Ry DU Executive Education Faculty
Pieter Van Ry, P.E., MBA, has over 25 years of experience in civil engineering and related fields and has held several leadership positions in public utilities during that time. He is currently the Director of both South Platte Renew (Colorado’s third largest wastewater treatment facility serving 300,000 customers in the Denver metro area) and the City of Englewood drinking water utility. He has his undergraduate degree in engineering and is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado. Pieter received his Executive MBA from the Daniels College of Business in August of 2019. He frequently presents on leadership and organizational culture topics at local and national water industry conferences. |

Bo Storozuk DU Executive Education Faculty
Bo is a strategic learning and development leader with over 14 years of experience in the professional services industry. He brings a multifaceted background in facilitation, organizational development, leadership development, innovation, consulting, and sustainability with experience working in 8 countries globally. He holds an MBA from the University of Denver and has been involved with the Daniels College of business for over a decade. His career passions align with his personal values of continuous learning, creating meaningful and positive impact, and a sense of adventure in exploring the unknown and challenging what’s possible.
