Tickets for each 2-hour session are $45 for members (RMSAWWA/RMWEA) and $65 for non-members.
Members receive a discounted price of $300 for the full series ($475 for nonmembers)

Training Units for Colorado will be available (New Mexico & Wyoming are under review).

Those who attend six (6) sessions in the series will receive a certificate from RMSAWWA that verifies completion of the Leadership Workshop Series.

SESSION DESCRIPTION:

“Epic Leadership Lessons Learned in the Field” is the keynote presentation/inspirational talk that Shelli Johnson is asked to deliver to conferences and organizations for purposes of inspiring and motivating their leaders.  Through storytelling, particular leadership stories and examples are discussed.  Topics covered are self-awareness, taking chances, daring to fail, self-actualization, vulnerability, managing your “Inner Critic”, the importance of humility in leadership, the people and teams in our life, Mindset (including choosing it, the power of positive thinking, and how to foster a Growth mindset), and the important of commitment when it comes to one’s life and leadership.  Following the presentation, there will be 30 minutes of some meaningful and relevant Q&A and further discussion.

Self-Awareness Learning Objectives:

  1. Reflect on who you are and how you want to be as a Leader.
  2. Learn how being committed in your life and leadership is a difference-maker when it comes to what you’re able to achieve or not achieve.
  3. Understand the impact the people and relationships in your life and your work have on your wellbeing, what you’re able to achieve, and your leadership impact
We Choose our Mindset Learning Objectives:
  1. Learn how significantly your mindset impacts your life, leadership, and your impact on those you lead.
  2. Gain insights into how you can choose your mindset and how you can foster a Growth Mindset.
Dare to Fail Learning Objectives:
  1. Learn how important it is to your life and leadership to take chances, and to dare to fail.
  2. Be inspired to be more courageous, while learning how to lead while managing fear.
  3. Understand the important role that failure plays in our development and impact.
  4. Understand that we become actually what we are potentially only by doing hard things, and by daring to go farther than we think we can. And when we go farther than we think we can, we inspire others.

SPEAKER BACKGROUND

Shelli Johnson lives on the Frontier of Wyoming, where she is an entrepreneur, keynote presenter, life & leadership coach, leadership facilitator, adventure guide and writer. Her office is a 100-year-old restored Wyoming Sheepherder’s wagon parked on the bank of the Popo Agie River, in Lander, Wyoming. She is married and has three sons.

Shelli has coached 225 individual leaders from throughout the U.S. in the last 10 years and taken many of them on Epic Adventures in the wilderness.  In her presentation, “Epic Lessons Learned in the Field,” Shelli shares some of the most valuable leadership lessons she has learned from the leaders she has worked with and from her own life and leadership experiences. The presentation is made up of stunning wilderness images and of interesting stories that illustrate the lessons learned in the field.

Shelli believes how we live is how we lead. Whether you ever go into the wilderness or not, these stories serve as metaphors for the skills leaders need in order to be an impactful and inspiring leader, and to live and lead an inspired life.
