Committee Purpose
In recognition of the significant opportunity presented to the water sector by the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act, otherwise known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), RMS is creating this new Task Force.
Committee Responsibilities
-
Track Federal BIL Funding as it is made available to the States and other receiving entities
-
Maintain communication with the CDPHE SRF office and other funding administrators to stay on top of funding opportunities as they become available, and work with the RMS staff for a coordinated dissemination of that information to our members.
-
Prepare and run new trainings and coordinate access to existing training sessions (such as prerecorded SRF webinars) for RMS members covering topics such as:
-
Overview of the BIL
-
Eligible entities
- Projects that can be funded
-
Clarification of key terms
-
Funding mechanisms: Loan and grant requirements
-
Best practice examples
Trainings could include either online or in person.
This Task Force is planned to be active for five-years, consistent with the time frame for the BIL funding.
The BIL Training Task Force may consider facilitating training that is open to non-members as a membership recruitment tool.
