Here is some of what you can expect at the 2021 Rocky Mountain Virtual Water Summit & Expo:

Technical Program – The Technical Program will address the latest developments and insights impacting the water and wastewater industry and the needs of our three states (Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming).  Our theme for this year's Summit is:  "Adaptation to Change – Let’s Tell Our Stories". Many of our sessions will touch on the concept of adaptation - whether related to COVID-19, the effects of climate change, upcoming regulations, optimizing a process, or social equity.

The technical program will offer approximately 100 technical sessions that will be presented virtually. There will be both live sessions and on-demand sessions.  Continuing education units will be available through the Colorado Certified Water Professionals (CCWP), the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality and New Mexico Environment Department.

Keynote Speakers – Our opening session will feature George Hawkins. George is the owner of Moonshot LLC and Moonshot Missions and former CEO and General Manager of DC Water.  His fundamental belief is that public agencies can be motivated to deliver excellent service while reducing costs, engaging the community, and protecting the environment.  George is a popular speaker on water, infrastructure, and environmental issues.  He has been the recipient of many awards, including the AWWA’s Fuller Award for Leadership and Innovation.

Our closing session will feature Sarah Thomas, an ultra-marathon swimmer who resides near Denver, Colorado.  Sarah is the first person in history to complete a four-way crossing of the English Channel in 54 hours and 10 minutes.  She does keynote presentations for special events, where she shares life lessons that have helped her complete marathon swims and beat cancer.

Networking – Our virtual event platform will offer networking opportunities and creative ways for sponsors and vendors to showcase their products and services.
