The Rocky Mountain Water Conference (RMWC) (presented virtually this year as the Rocky Mountain Virtual Water Summit & Expo) will be hosting its 5th annual
“Is Your Toilet Running?” 5K Fun Run/Walk, along the South Platte River - Mary Carter Greenway Trail in Sheridan, CO. You will not want to miss this fun event!
The run starts at 9:00 a.m. sharp on Sunday, September 12, 2021.

This RMWC event highlights water and wastewater conservation practices, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle through exercise:

• A running toilet wastes valuable drinking water and places additional demands on the water supply.
• A running toilet increases hydraulic loading and reduces organic loading in wastewater, both of which lead to less efficient operation of a water resource recovery facility.
• A running (or walking) lifestyle improves mood, helps you cope with stress, and burns calories!

The Fun Run/Walk is a fundraising event for the RMWEA Public Education Committee. All proceeds help support theStockholm Junior Water Prize. This event generates funds through the sponsorship of race course signs and the purchase of fun run t-shirts ($35 each). The race course signs are posted along the race course and recognize each sponsor. A start/finish sign sponsorship is $200 each, and 1K, 2K, 3K, and 4K signs are $100 each. All participants will meet at South Platte Renew’s parking lot (2900 South Platte River Drive, Englewood CO 80110) at 8:30 a.m. and then walk over to the Start/Finish line just south of Dartmouth Avenue on the Mary Carter Greenway Trail. Location: Meet at South Platte Renew at 8:30 AM

Water will be provided by the Englewood Allen Water Treatment Plant at the mid-point of the race. All participants are invited to join the group for post-run refreshments and a prize drawing at Bout Time Pub & Grub at approximately 10:30 a.m. Participants who register will receive a FREE Fun Run/Walk T-shirt!
