How Social and Emotional Intelligence is the Cornerstone of Effective Leadership and Healthy Organizations

Deborah Wescott
Coach EQ

Training Unit approval for Colorado, New Mexico & Wyoming is pending

SESSION DESCRIPTION:

The evidence is overwhelming: Leaders who possess high Social and Emotional Intelligence are directly correlated with increased organizational productivity, as well as employee satisfaction. EQ directly influences a manager’s ability to lead and be successful with their team(s). In addition, research has revealed that Emotional Intelligence is a primary component in organizational engagement and retention.

So how do you know if your leaders have EQ — and can it be taught?

This innovative, interactive workshop lays out the building blocks of Emotional Intelligence and its four-quadrant model; participants will learn why EQ is important to successful leadership, and what they can do to improve their own awareness — as well as awareness of others. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to practice and develop new EQ skills, as well as hone existing ones, all of which will result in becoming a better leader and a more successful manger.
