Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority ABSTRACT: This seminar will briefly summarize the Authority’s planning process that is used to identify and prioritize capital improvement projects using our available CIP budget funds. It will include a brief description of the broad range of sewer, waterline, and facility rehabilitation projects that are undertaken annually. Several large special projects that are currently in the planning/design stages will also be highlighted and briefly discussed. SPEAKER BIOGRAPY: David Laughlin, P.E. is a professional engineer in Oregon and New Mexico with over 25 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering. His education includes a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and an M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering from New Mexico State University (NMSU). Currently he serves as Division Manager of Planning & Engineering for the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority, managing a team of engineers and inspectors focused on design and construction of water/wastewater capital improvement projects for the Water Authority. All attendees must pre-register for this webinar by Tuesday evening, 1/16/24 at 5:00 p.m. Water and wastewater operators will be asked for NM Operator Certification number on the online registration form.
