At the completion of the SDWA Workshop Introduction lesson, participants should have the ability to:

• Describe the purpose of the Regional Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP)
• Access and obtain information from the RCAP website and identify free RCAP resources
• Access the awwa.org website and obtain information on AWWA resources available to small systems
• Present instruction of AWWA/RCAP small systems workshop lessons and facilitate workshop localization
• Describe vital components of a distribution system, and how they can impact water quality
• Identify potential areas of water quality concern in your system, and consider ways to improve them

Day 3: Thurs. 2/24/22 - Controlling Lead in Drinking Water

At the completion of this lesson, participants should have the ability to:

1. Apply the regulatory requirements of the Lead and Copper Rule to your system
2. Calculate the 90^th concentration
3. Summarize factors that will impact the release of lead and copper
4. Apply action to protect consumers from lead and copper
5. List new requirements proposed by the LCRR
