This scholarship provides $4,000 to upper classmen and
graduate students who are pursuing studies in water related topics.

Leah Flint
Leah is a full-time engineer with the Bureau of Reclamation and completed her master’s degree this summer. Her thesis focused on the removal of hexavalent chromium from groundwater using ion exchange.
She is rolling straight into a doctoral program at the University of Colorado and is planning to focus her research on distribution system blending and corrosion control.

Natalie Collar
Natalie is working on her PhD at Colorado School of Mines. Her doctoral research furthers the work she has been doing at Wright Water Engineers, which involves the study of wildfire-induced changes to evapotranspiration
rates, as well as evaluating post-fire erosion and runoff reduction best management practices.

Benjamin is a student at Red Rocks Community College pursuing an associate degree in water quality management with the goal of working at a water or wastewater treatment facility while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in security
