RALPH M. LEIDHOLDT OUTSTANDING WTP OPERATOR

This award is to recognize an outstanding water treatment plant operator within the Rocky Mountain Section of American Water Works Association. It's awarded annually to recognize a water treatment plant operator for exceptional performance, dedication and teamwork.

Brad is the Water Treatment Manager for the City of Arvada’s two water treatment plants. Brad has worked at the City for 36 years and his intimate knowledge of plant operations and treatment history with the City is invaluable because
it allows him to make quick decisions on projects and help in developing teams.
Brad has a great relationship with the team he manages, as well as other City co-workers and even people outside the City. When projects require input from multiple stakeholders, Brad is a valued team member with his collaborative
approach that is focused on long-term solutions. His focus on operations and maintenance of existing facilities results in equipment lasting well past most industry standard lifespans, saving the City money.

DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR AWARD
Steve Crow, City of Thornton

| This award is to recognize an outstanding distribution system operator within the Rocky Mountain Section of American Water Works Association. It is awarded annually to recognize a water distribution system operator for exceptional performance, dedication and teamwork. |

Steve has faithfully served the City of Thornton for 41 years in the water distribution section of the Infrastructure Department. Emergency situations are where Steve shines. During a typical water break (usually at night/weekend/hot
weather/freezing weather), Steve is the one to calmly analyze the situation, prepare a plan for repair, and communicate with his team clearly.
Steve is passionate about his job and ensures water is delivered safely to the citizen of Thornton. The City of Thornton would like to thank Steve for his years of hard work and dedication.

| This award is to recognize an outstanding water laboratory within the Rocky Mountain Section of American Water Works Association. It is awarded annually to recognize a water laboratory for exceptional performance, dedication and teamwork. |

The Aurora Water Quality Control Laboratory staff is to be congratulated on receiving the Outstanding Water Laboratory Award. Recent accomplishments include:
- Supporting the water treatment plants and distribution system in their participation with Partnership for Safe Water
- Laboratory performs tests for water, wastewater, reuse, source water to support operations, regulatory compliance, and treatment choices
- Supported efforts to help improve the health of Quincy Reservoir by analyzing over 1800 samples to monitor the impact of adding alum to the Reservoir.
- Supporting City efforts to address revisions to the Lead & Copper Rule, including accepting samples from customers to have their water tested for lead; and then working with them to interpret the results and identify next steps.
